- Open: Open an image, and create a new project with this image.
- Save: Save the resulting image at the current resolution.
- Close: Close the current project.
- Postscript output: It saves the resulting image as postscript. Keep in mind that the strokes that are not vectorial will be converted to vectors. If you want then to save in this format for rendering it to another scale then see the option: "Save at different size" below.
- Save at different size: It let you render your resultant drawing at another scale. It is not an image resize, it will generate the image at a new scale, thus, as more resolution, more new details will be appearing in the new scales. See Examples.
- Open Project: Open a previously saved workspace. The current extension for a Gertrudis project is "gpj".
- Save Project: Save all the workspace. The current extension for a Gertrudis project is "gpj"
- Exit: Exit Gertrudis
- Edit
- Undo: Undo one step.
- Redo: Redo the last undo.
- Take snapshot: Place a mark into the undo history so the user can return to the marked point. You can make as many snapshots as are necessary.
- Undo to last snapshot: Return to the last snapshot. See take snapshot.
- Apply to the entire image: It will show a dialog box asking the number of strokes that will be drawn. The place of the strokes will be randomly selected from the entire image. The strokes will be drawn using the current style settings. You can stop applying and get a preview at any time you want by pressing the stop button.
- Repeat last apply: Repeat the operation realized in the last execution of the option: "Apply to the entire image", but without asking anything. The shortcut to this option is Ctrl-F.
- View
- View Borders: It shows the borders of the image. These borders will be used in the "Stop on borders" option in "Advanced options" of the "Style Manager".
- View Directions: It shows the directions that Gertrudis has calculated in an automatic way. Those directions will be used by the Auto sketch tool.
- View Navigator : It will show the Navigator Window .
